I have been in the aquatics and education field for approximately 10 years, and have worked with children as well for the duration of my career. A student of Main College of Art, graduating in 2006 with a bachelors degree of fine art, I continued in the non-profit recreation field as well as a few hours as a nanny, camp counselor and substitute teacher. During this time I transitioned into a full time aquatics position and worked at building the youth programs there for three years. I have returned to school to obtain my Masters of Education focusing on special needs with children kindergarten through 8th grade. I currently hold certifications as a Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor, Lifeguard, CPR and AED administration, First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogen Prevention and Oxygen Administration.

Focusing on stroke readiness, this class is designed for swimmers who are able to complete at least one full length of the pool. Continued work will emphasize stroke technique in the front crawl as well and an introduction to backstroke and treading water.
This class emphasizes increasing your endurance and confidence in the water. Starting out with some use of flotation devices, our talented instructors will gradually help swimmers gain the ability to swim without aid. Participants will also learn breathing techniques, fully submerging, and floating independently on their front and back. Small class sizes ensure your little swimmer gets off to a great start!
