Whether those goals are sport specific or aimed at overall well-being, I look forward to helping you attain them. I believe sports conditioning can improve athletes and non-athletes alike, and enjoy showing my clients how to incorporate it into their fitness routines. Experience:

I have been in the Health and Wellness Industry since 2004 and immediately fell in love with it. In high school I began training to help improve my performance on the field and my confidence off it, and never would have guessed it would have the impact on my life that it did! That, along with sharing what I’ve learned and gained with others, is my motivation for staying healthy to this day. I am currently certified through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America.

Training Philosophy:

Aly’s training philosophy is centered around setting measurable and achievable goals that are targeted towards functional movement patterns that exist in our activities of everyday life. She strongly believes that making small goals will set each individual up for success. “Taking the first step in adopting fitness into your life can be hard,” says Aly, “but staying consistent and keeping a positive mindset will only help aid in your fitness journey and continue to help in the adoption of a more fitness oriented lifestyle”.

Experience:

Aly is a 2016 graduate of Salem State University with a Bachelors degree in Sports Movement Science, and is also a Certified Personal Trainer through the International Sports Science Association (ISSA). Growing up, she spent her time as a competitive dancer as well as a soccer and softball player. She loves sharing her passion of fitness with others, and enjoys helping individuals take those first steps in making changes that will positively impact their overall health and wellness. When Aly is not training clients in the gym, she loves to exercise and be outside doing various activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding and hiking. She also enjoys spending as much free time as she can with her friends and family.
Training Philosophy:

After Graduating from Plymouth State University, where I earned my Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science, I began my career as a Strength and Conditioning Coach in Wilmington, MA. I spent three years as the Head Performance Coach working with clients and designing programs which included youth performance, adult fitness, and sports specific training. From there I worked at Western Carolina University as a Strength and Conditioning Coordinator, where I trained Division I male and female athletes in a variety of sports. I became certified through USA Weightlifting (USAW) as a Sports Performance Coach to better understand how to safely teach and progress my clients in Olympic lifts. Over the last four years I have also had tremendous success as a Personal Trainer working with clients looking to lose weight and improve their overall health. As a trainer I take a lot of pride in knowing that I can build a program to suit your specific needs, whether they are sport specific or a more general focus on overall fitness.

No matter your fitness goals, I will help you focus on them and get the results you want. HOBBIES & INTERESTS: Spending time with my family and friends is the most important part of my life. I enjoy competing in any physical activity that is challenging, especially basketball. I also love to travel, see new places, and try new foods.
Training Philosophy:

I have worked in the health care industry since the age of 19 as a social worker, nutrition director, group exercise instructor and personal trainer. I specialize in Women’s and Senior fitness, small group training, core conditioning, muscle imbalances, weight loss and balance & flexibility. Senior fitness, however, is my passion. I find it extremely rewarding helping individuals remain independent by improving strength, balance and confidence. I believe anyone can improve their muscular strength and endurance with a little determination and education.

Experience:
I graduated from Salem State with a degree in Sport/Movement Science. I have been an avid fitness enthusiast since I was in my early teens playing baseball, hockey, and football. I have background in powerlifting competitively along with training for general health and wellness. My love for the latter lead me to pursue a career in massage therapy, as I am currently going to school to be a Massage Therapist and plan to be fully licensed by April 16’.

Training Philosophy:

My training philosophy starts with specific goals and revolves around functional body movement patterns that we all perform in our daily activities squatting, lunging, hinging at the hip, pushing, pulling, and carrying. Whether it’s day to day living or sport specific training I feel you should practice moving how you will be moving during the game or through life. Together we will build your muscular strength and endurance, improve your balance and agility, and raise your level of cardio vascular fitness. No matter what your goals are I will keep you motivated and moving in the right direction to achieve them!

Experience:

In my early thirties I had an accident on a Mt. bike and fractured my clavicle and ribs, I was forced to be inactive while my body recovered, I gained weight and was out of shape, I felt like I had hit a low point in my life, it was then that I decided to take control of my health and wellness and improve my overall level of fitness. I had my ability to be active taken away from me, and I became motivated and dedicated to getting it back, to keep moving and never stop. After two and a half years of daily exercise I decided to become a Personal Trainer and begin a career in the health and wellness industry. My decision to commit to daily exercise was one of the best choices I have ever made. I love sharing what I’ve learned with people who are looking to make changes and positive impact in their health through exercise and living well.
Training Philosophy:

At Gouverneur Central in New York State, where I was a 3 sport athlete: Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field, I set a few school records. I went to St. Lawrence University, where I majored in Psychology and continued running at the Division 3 level. Coaching isn’t just training someone to be better. Coaching is the perfect balance between instruction, constructive criticism, and genuine support. Training is the easy part, getting people to stay committed when life throws a stick in their spokes, now that’s the tough part.

As I continue to grow as a fitness professional, I’ve fallen into a couple niches – work with people in pain and endurance athletes. While I love working with as many clients from as many different backgrounds, those two categories gravitate towards me from my immense success. I also enjoy working with individuals looking to lose weight, gain muscle, or just improve their overall health.

Experience:

Training sessions need to be challenging, but scaled depending on your current fitness level. I want all my clients to get the results they are looking for in a timely manner. I don't believe in doing the same workout for every single client. Each client comes in with different needs, different starting points and plans of action that will best assist them in reaching their goals. My passion for fitness and my motivation/dedication towards reaching goals shows while working with clients. Together we can reach your goal!

I’m a self-proclaimed nerd and my passion for always knowing everything possible to help my clients has led me to explore many facets of human performance and injury prevention, many of those techniques just becoming known of in the last couple of years. I always aim to stay at the forefront, so that I can provide the absolute best service.

HOBBIES & INTERESTS: Running is a huge part of my life. I enjoy watching nearly all sports, especially at the top level of competition. It is very inspiring to see the level of dedication that the athletes have towards becoming the best at their given sport. While I enjoy all sports, I always lean back towards endurance sports due to the individual nature. At the end of the day it is a battle between you and your mind – you are your own opponent.

Training Philosophy:

True health is more than just physical. The human body is not a machine. In order to achieve optimal health, we must take a holistic approach to living, which includes the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of life. This ancient approach to health considers the whole person and how he or she interacts with his or her environment. It emphasizes the connection of mind, body and spirit.

Experience:

Ron's health and training philosophy has not always been holistic. When Ron first started personal training in 2001, he trained both himself and his clients the same way, utilizing “old-school” bodybuilding techniques. It was "no-pain no-gain" and a calories-in /calories-out approach to training and nutrition However, Ron's health and training philosophy got a serious overhaul in 2011, when he experienced his own health challenges, which included the surgical removal of his gallbladder. Ron has since transformed his own body, mind and spirit, using holistic principles and is passionate about sharing his knowledge and helping coach others to this way of living.

Training Phiolosophy:
I am a passionate Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Coach on a mission to help as many people as possible improve their health and fitness, so that they too can have the energy, vigor, and vitality to live life to it's fullest.

Experience:
My passion for all things health and fitness related was ignited about 10 years ago when was in my mid-forties. At the time I was a VP at a major Wall Street investment firm, and despite being in decent enough shape to run several 10 kilometer races and half-marathons, I was nevertheless about 30 pounds overweight, and exhibiting many signs of what is called "Metabolic Syndrome," such as high-blood sugar (pre-diabetes), high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. My doctor however assured me that I had not yet crossed over the "point of no return," so to speak, and that with just some minor lifestyle changes and low doses of a few common prescription drugs, I could still live a basically normal and healthy life. It was from that point on that I committed myself to finding real answers as to why my body was beginning to break down and weaken, despite the fact that at the time I felt that my family and I were making relatively smart and healthy lifestyle choices. Thus began my journey to educate myself and acquire the knowledge, education, and experience necessary to embark on a path to find true health and wellness - without prescription drugs or phony quick fix schemes and supplements. My message to those who may find themselves on a path similar to the one I was on 10 years ago, is that no matter what your current age, weight, or fitness level, you can look, feel, and quite literally be, metabolically younger one year from now than you are today.

Please feel free to be in touch me with if you have any fitness related questions or need advice as to where to begin.

Training Philosophy:

There will always be some sort of exercise that can fit into your lifestyle and schedule. Nobody needs to spend countless hours in the gym or be bored with the same routine, no matter what your goals are. You get what you put in, and it is my job to make sure I get everything out of you. I will use my knowledge of functional training, injury prevention, and program modification to get you into the best shape of your life, and keep you there. Whether your goal is to improve your overall quality of life, lose weight and get toned, or if you have a sport-specific goal, I will help you go above and beyond.

Experience:

I started my athletic career playing hockey as well as running track and cross country. I sustained many injuries, and always found myself at the nearest physical therapy office. It was a mix of the rehabilitation portion of my therapy, as well as the strength and conditioning portion that really caught my eye. I not only wanted to learn everything there was to know about the body, but I wanted to learn injury prevention methods so I could help others avoid what I had to go through. I got my bachelor’s degree at Salem State University for Clinical Exercise Science. I then got certified through the American College of Sports Medicine as a certified personal trainer. I absolutely love what I do. I get to help people achieve their goals, and go far beyond what they ever could have imagined was possible. I now incorporate my knowledge of functional movement patterns and injury prevention techniques to safely train clients of all backgrounds and body types.
