We’re all in this together ! !

March 19, 2020 – 1:00 pm

It’s a very uncertain time in all aspects of life.  We are all feeling it but we are in this together.

We have been processing each email and freezing dues upon request.  We made a decision yesterday to freeze dues for all memberships effective today (no dues were processed today or will be going forward).

The leadership team started the process of suspending every member’s dues last night. Unfortunately, there isn’t a master on and off button to suspend all memberships at once so this is a very complex undertaking.  The team needs to be laser focused as we go through the list day by day and hope in the next few days to get ahead of this. When we REOPEN, we need to unsuspend each member’s account in the same process, but we will make sure everyone has access the day we REOPEN.

We are trying our best to communicate to our community and our team all of the many moving pieces of what’s happening during this unprecedented time.    So, please be patient with us as my email box is beyond flooded.  We want to make sure that we are communicating with you but it’s almost impossible to communicate with each of you one on one and I apologize for that.  The club’s website will always have our most updated information and we will update social sites as well.

Closing and suspending dues wasn’t an easy choice and each gym and wellness organization are taking different steps at this time. But we felt as a community we needed to do what was morally correct in these uncertain times, for you and our team.

Our model is different for many businesses. This crisis has challenged ownership and the leadership team to rethink all facets of our model and how we can be more connected to the community inside and outside of both of our clubs.   I look forward to seeing who we become on the other side of this. It’s uncertain when we will REOPEN, and it will take time to ramp back up, but each of you will help us in the process as you walk back in the doors.

We are a community and we will thrive on the other side of this.  Stay strong and support local businesses while we all weather the storm together.  Family and loved ones are more important today than ever…….hold them tight with social distancing in mind.   We are #bacstong

March 16, 2020

Dear BAC members,

We appreciate you. We care about you. We are here to serve your health, fitness and wellness needs during a challenging time in our country.  You are our community!

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, and the guidelines set forth by the State of Massachusetts, BAC is shutting down effective this evening Monday, March 16, 2020 at 10:00 pm. All locations will remain closed until a time is deemed safe to return to gathering in groups and places.

Thank you for your patience, support and understanding as we go through this decision-making process. The most important thing to us is the health of our members and staff.  We have all been working tirelessly over the last week to educate you, protect you, and be the community club you deserve. We spent the last 24 hours trying to figure out how to keep the club open and serve you.

Please be well, take all precautions for yourself and your families. Please stay active, healthy and fit.  In the days to come, the leadership team will continue to find ways to serve you and help you during this brief closure.

We have created the following Facebook Groups, to focus on the smaller communities we have within the club, we launched them today and we are building out content as we speak.   Please join them.

  • BAC Personal Training & Fitness Programs
  • BAC Swim School
  • BAC Group Exercise

You will find great information in the weeks to come.

Please continue to monitor your email for club updates from BAC, go to our website or check one of our social media platforms

To our members and guests:

Our number one priority is the health and well-being of our members, guests, and team members.   Ensuring your well-being is more important than ever.

We are making the following adjustments to our club services to increase social distancing by reducing the number of people in certain areas of the club.

Effective Immediately: Monday, March 16, 2020

  • GROUP EXERCISE: We will operate on a reduced class schedule offering a reduced class size and have workout zones in each class(prior signup required before each class)
    • Virtual Fitness: Remember we offer Les Mills Virtual Fitness Classes and other Fitness on Demand classes on your schedule. This is a great opportunity to take a class on your own or with a small group.

    • Private Swim Lessons: All clients should be communicating with their instructor:
  • FAMILY SWIM: Family Swim is cancelled until Monday, March 30th
  • SWIMMING POOL: The pool continues to be tested, monitored, and is on an aggressive cleaning schedule. We have also scheduled a pool shutdown for the entire weekend beginning Friday, March 20th, for an additional cleaning and shock of the pool (as a preventive measure.)
  • BAC Express 24/7: We have increased the daily cleaning schedule and manpower dedicated to that location.

We continue to monitor every changing aspect of this situation by the hour and by day.   We are listening to all of your suggestions in addition to what we are currently doing. We understand that many aspects of your life have been impacted, as always, we are trying to bring that balance to your life.   At this point we feel this is the next logical step for the club.  Please understand that things could change in the days to come, and we truly are committed to you and your well-being.

March 13, 2020

To our members and guests:

Our number one priority is the health and well-being of our members, guests, and team members.   Ensuring your well-being is more important than ever.

As your club we have always believed that we are partners in your well-being.  We feel we are a sanctuary for you.  Yes, the coronavirus is real.   It’s not imaginary and it doesn’t go away by ignoring it or fearing it. Like prior global viruses, the coronavirus will pass.  Because of growing concerns during the last 24 hours we’d like to address our current plans and precautions to keeping your club as safe as possible.

As for right now, we intend to run business as usual and plan to stay open and run all classes, and programs (if anything changes, we will communicate via the club’s website.) The success of BAC happens because of members like you and our amazing team.  It takes a village to keep BAC operating to the level that you deserve.  Looking forward; we could experience a reduction in offerings if team members or their families are impacted on any level.

We are taking the following steps to disinfect and help prevent the spread of not just Covid-19, but all flu viruses.

  • We are fully stocked with cleaning supplies and are staying on top of refilling soap dispensers, and hand sanitizer. We are (and always have been) equipped with wall mounted hand sanitizers all throughout the club. We have added more, along with additional pop – up stations in other key areas.
  • The entire BAC team is cleaning and wiping down all equipment throughout their shifts. Our maintenance staff takes great pride in keeping our gym clean and will continue to do so with regularly scheduled cleanings.  Overnight deeper cleaning, club wide, is also happening as well.
  • We are actively wiping down counters and surfaces throughout the club, including but not limited to the bathroom sinks, front desk counter, hand railings and door handles, etc…
  • We encourage our members and guests to wash your hands first thing upon entering the club before your workout, and after your workout as well.
  • We strongly encourage all members and guests to take personal responsibility by using antibacterial wipes prior to working out to disinfect machinery, mats, props, etc. for your personal well-being. As always, please wipe down all equipment after your workout.
  • If you are sick or are beginning to exhibit symptoms, we ask that you stay home.
  • Other things that you can do to get ahead of becoming sick this season is to eat high quality foods, drink plenty of water, get plenty of rest, and try to keep your stress to a minimum.

We will continue to monitor and routinely check official information from the CDC and local agencies.  We will adjust our plan as needed (any changes will be communicated via the club’s website)

We have all endured flu season before and want to be sensitive to this situation, but we also need to live with a level of normalcy.   A healthy you is key to fighting this on all levels we are committed to being here for you.  You are our community…you are #BACSTRONG

On behalf of the entire team here at the club, we thank you for being a valued member of BAC.  Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.  We are committed to keeping your club, the community, and most importantly our members, healthy.  We appreciate your help and understanding and look forward to helping you achieve your wellness goals.

Healthy regards,

We strongly encourage all members and guests to take personal responsibility by using antibacterial wipes prior to working out to disinfect machinery, mats, props, etc. for your personal well-being.  As always, please wipe down all equipment after your workout.

How can you prevent coronavirus virus:

  • Regular hand washing with soap (for at least 20 seconds)
  • Covering coughing or sneezing with a tissue or elbow (not your hand)
  • Avoiding touching of eyes, nose or mouth with out unwashed hands
  • Limiting contact with people who are sick, and staying home if you sick

Please note if you arrive for an appointment and we are concerned that you may be ill, we reserve the right to cancel the session or class that day and will  re-schedule

We will continue to monitor and routinely check official information from the CDC and local agencies.  We will adjust our plan as needed.
