So…day 43 (April 28, 2020) ….it’s hard to believe.  In certain moments I feel like it was just yesterday when I locked the front door to close for the foreseeable future.   In other moments, like many of you, I don’t know what day it is and that day seems like forever ago.   In the last few days we are hearing more about businesses reopening, the new normal, and the changing landscape in the business community.   What is the new normal? It will be different for everyone, and every business will be different.   Every business within the same industry will be different..what are the guidelines?     Being in the well-being business…it will be different.   Social Distancing will be a key factor in every aspect of what we do.  Some won’t agree with it and some will ignore it…some will be upset by those that ignore it.   It will be part of the new normal…..we need to remember we are all in this together and respect each other.

We know reopening is going to be hard for everyone involved ….some can’t wait to get back at it, others it will take a bit longer until they feel comfortable.   We have spent the last few weeks looking at the member journey in every aspect of what we do.. so we can be ready for you.  Keeping the cardio floor and group exercise studio clean is a no brainer…but your experience in the club is deeper than the common spaces.  The detailed plan will address all aspects of your daily experience at BAC, some of that experience will be impacted in phase one.  The main focus has always been your well-being and the well-being of your amazing team and their families.   That hasn’t changed and never will.

The detailed plan isn’t finalized yet.  We are trying to anticipate all of the different scenarios so we are prepared.  Our team will need to be trained on new protocol to keep you and them safe as we open and bring the club back to its fullest capacity in what will be the new normal.   We hope to see each of you real soon.  I need you to know we have already spent countless hours on this plan and we will spend many more until we open the doors.   We will be ready for you……..if you have any questions, concerns, please feel free to email me and we can set up a call to discuss them.    E-mail me at andrew@beverlyathletic.com

As a team, we know you are eager to return.  I have said this before…without you and our team we are nothing but a dark building full of equipment.  It’s you and the amazing team we have that creates the community we call BAC.

Many of you have said run my dues, I want to support BAC…we thank you!  It just didn’t feel right for us to process those requests.  The best way you can support us is to return to the club when we reopen.  Help us all get back to normal by coming in for your workout, taking your favorite class, grabbing a smoothie, or signing up for a fitness program….all while we practice social distancing together.
